“Over-Exposed” (2022) is a 12”x 18” drawing done with graphite pencils, archival ink, Micron pens, and white charcoal. The center 5”x 7” section depicting the skeleton is stippled in ink. The piece is meant to portray the feeling of being looked through, as if invisible to others. The woman depicted is straining to escape this uncomfortable feeling, but she can never prevent the viewer from being able to see through to her bones.

This work won a Scholastic Silver Key Award for the Eastern Carolina Region.
